Fried Onion Rings
serves 4
Ingredients
2 ea onions, thick rings
1 C + 2 T flour
1 ea egg, beaten
1 C milk
2 T melted butter
1 t salt
Instructions
Soak the onion rings in icewater for 1 hour. Drain and pat dry.
Whisk together the flour, egg, milk, butter, and salt.
Working in batches, coat the onion rings in the batter, then fry in oil at 350 until golden and crisp. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Plate and serve hot.
